If the length of a rectangle is four times as large as the width. its area is 100 square inches find the width and length of the rectangle?

I need help I can't seem to find this online anywhere to help me solve it

width: x
length: 4x

area: 100 sq.in.

area: width * length
= (x) * (4x)
= 4(x^2)

hence, 100 sq.in = 4(x^2)

or, 25 sq.in = (x^2)

or, 5 in = x

hence, width = 5 inches which would imply length = 5 * 4 = 20 inches

@reflectingmonkey if you need an explanation, here are the combinations that give 100: 1x100, 2x50, 5x20, 4x25,10x10, now which one has one number 4 times bigger than its partner, answer: 5x20
