Does anyone else see a disconnect with certain groups of people simultaneously wanting to feel equal AS WELL as wanting to feel victimized...

I think logically you can only choose one or the other.

Either you play an equal roll in society and are accountable for yourself, or you’re a victim and nothing is your fault or your responsibility.

Anyone else see this conflict of ideas??

@Insomniac100 you get it.

Couldn't agree more. Like the women who fight for equal rights, but want leniency in things such as assaulting a male.
Completely absurd.

Not to single any group out or anything. I dislike most groups pretty equally.

It is an absolute necessity to lose the victim mentality.

I only see the conflict in your description of words someone can be a victim to a situation and still responsible of their own actions. It doesn't excuse anything, everyone wants to be treated fairly especially the abused. But as victims you can't try to force your abuser to agree with their wrong doings since their the ones who put you in that position in the first place.

Sure was not slavery a choice?

@bookerdana don’t see how that’s relevant.

@GardenSage seems like another social media fracas that becomes self parodying

@bookerdana well I don’t think it’s fair to relegate this as a social media fracas... this has been a debate before the internet was even a thing
segregation and apartheid are so hot right now...
