He does this all the time, he tries to horn in on any SW post he can with some comment about how dumb liberals are. The irony is, he doesn't know what a liberal is, and he is one himself.

But I'm not a liberal. You're a liberal. This is the problem, you don't know what a liberal is, you just know you're not supposed to like them because Sean Hannity told you so.

@popmol Actually no. I never really cared for him and don't hold him in high esteem. Better than many modern presidents though. Personal ranking worst to best. Obama, Carter, Clinton, LBJ, FDR, Kennedy, W Bush, Ford, H Bush, Truman, Nixon, Reagan, Eisenhower. The criteria I use in ranking the president is the condition of the nation when they handed it off to the new president. IOW Trump has one HUGE mess to clean up that was left behind by Obama.

any president has a huge mess to clean up. trumpisn't the only one and he will not be the last one so he is not special in that regard.

@popmol Reagan's greatest failure was that he did not change the trajectory of decay that the US has been in since FDR. It was stopped for a bit by Eisenhower and it was slowed again by Reagan but the American people keep voting against their own country and their own best interest as is witnessed by the disasters that were Carter, Clinton and especially Obama.

Yeah so I don't have reliable internet access right now, and I go for days at a time without logging onto SW. So I kinda missed like 80% of this argument, is it still relevant?

@hippyjoe1955 I'm unable to carry on long internet conversations at the moment like I used to be. I'm moving houses, and I don't have WiFi in my new place yet, meaning I can't use my laptop computer, and I'm using too much data on my phone. Which is why I'm hardly online here these days.

@popmol It'll be back to normal soon enough. I've just gotta move the rest of my furniture and whatnot into my new place.

@popmol Well, sorta. I loved my old house, but it was too large and too expensive for just two people to be living in, and there were lots of building code violations that the city wanted to fine me for. I'm going to be back on school campus when August comes so it would be silly to keep the house and then have only one person living there most of the time. So I'm selling it, probably for somewhere around $250,000 or so, and moving into a smaller apartment. The new place is a lot less space but it's much more affordable, and it's newly rehabbed so a lot of the stuff there works better.

@BlueMetalChick aah yeah that sounds smart although the loss of the old house is quite sad :(
