I'd be so happy for them that they could finally come out. I know coming out as Bisexual to my parents 20 years ago was the most difficult thing I've ever done. My dad's my hero and my Mom's my best friend & I was terrified they wouldn't love me anymore. 馃

@DarkHeaven So nice to hear a story like this one where the parents were very understanding and caring. Thanks for putting it on. It's inspiring
@ReneeT You want to know my Dad鈥檚 joke after I came out?
ReneeT61-69, M
@DarkHeaven Sure. Did he laugh after it?
@ReneeT Just the joke. Not about coming out. My Dad said he had kind of guessed it and my Mom said she knew for a long time and was just waiting for me to finally tell them. This was his joke.

Cashier: Paper or plastic?
My Dad: Either. I鈥檓 Bi-sack-tual.

He鈥檚 such a dork. And still my hero.

@DarkHeaven Very corny. But I love the fact that he could still tell a joke not about you coming out but the fact that he was happy for you. Dad's like that are so hard to find.
@ReneeT He鈥檚 more awesome than I can even say. A good Dad.

@DarkHeaven That is wonderful. Mine has been gone for a long time and I miss him to this day.

@ReneeT I鈥檓 truly sorry for your loss. 馃尭
