How do you reason with your self in regards to whether you should or shouldn't do something?

What are some example questions you ask yourself to help you decide?
I pray about it and look at all the “pros and cons”.

Does this work? Who does it affect? What are the consequences? What do I gain from it? What are the negatives? Is it worth it?

The quickest most effective way is to toss a coin, and as it lands, gauge your instant reaction.. Are you happy with the outcome or not? Now you know what your gut thinks.
@whowasthatmaskedman Now that’s pretty awesome. Ha ha ha
I mostly think about the possible outcome and consequences and who can benefit from it. Unfortunately, I always end up with the wrong decisions despite of this. **sigh

Imagine the long term effect
will it help anyone
hurt anyone
will I do it with my parents watching
will it disrespect anyone

I think about the consequences, how severe they'll be, and whether they'll be short term or long term.
