@maybesomeday Why question yourself? Perhaps the folks you pm'd are not as interesting or as enthusiastic as yourself and you simply misjudged them as wanting to converse. I suggest you don't stop.

@KaTeeEvent I thought I was a decent judge of character. I only ever message people who have shared something in-depth about themselves, or someone who shares similar interests or view points to my own. Basically someone who talks about real things, and could potentially bring something interesting to conversations. Though I guess I have misjudged, which sucks, but I do still keep trying. Not sure if that makes me stupid or stubborn or courageous or whatever.

I suggest you don't second guess yourself or even be remotely concerned why someone is not replying. Perhaps the next four or eight folks you reach out to all come back to you with trumpets blaring. Perhaps there's a potential long-time friend in there as well. It seems you write about different subjects, have diverse interests and are inquisitive and as long as you continue to reach out you'll find similar members.

@SailorMarz I don't think you've gotta be bored to do it, just interested in getting to know someone.

@maybesomeday i'm not really interested in getting to know anyone here lately...tbh i'm probably afraid of being disappointed at them not pming me back or putting much effort into the conversation & then me seeing them differently from then on lol

@Dusty101 Yeah, seems like such a damn effort to get people to contribute a conversation these days. Constantly being the only one to ask questions, show interest, introduce new topics. It's tiring.

@GlassDog That's what I used to do, and no one ever messaged me; other than a few unimaginative or sexualised messages. So I thought I would try myself, and still yields not results. Just not sure what people want these days.

@maybesomeday I usually repond if people contact me and we usually end up being friends, at least. I guess not everyone is looking for that, though, and some people just want an instant response and then no further contact.
