@MissMollyCharlotte0702 It actually takes the life out of you. People are so not designed to stand in a shop for eight hours a day, selling stuff. It's just not right.
We had a family toy store and you get these people that come in,”Oh my gosh the prices in your store are soooo high...I mean,we can go to Kmart and Walmart and get the same thing for much cheaper.” I always wanted to scream,”Well what are you standing here telling me for? GO!” Drove me mad. We weren’t just a big chain...we were a mom n pop shop with toys and gifts. People stopped supporting the small businesses so of course our prices will be higher. Duh! @Magnolia

@MissMollyCharlotte0702 I really do get that. The only toy shop in my town closed down over Christmas because of Kmart. It's sad to see it happen and I can imagine how freaking annoying it would be to hear that every day. I worked at a supermarket, first on checkouts and then supervising the checkouts. One day I was scanning someone's groceries and a car crashed through the wall and bumped into the Lotto counter. We all just kept scanning. I laugh when I think about it now, we were all so switched off that it didn't even stop us from scanning while the customers were losing their minds.

@justmemyselfandme 😂 It's as if the customers thought we were setting the prices and getting our groceries for free. Sometimes I wish I had that power. HOW DO YOU LIKE 1KG OF CHEESE FOR $74?
