What helps with back pain ?

depends on the cause of the pain (muscular, compression of the nerves etc.)

anti-inflammatory pain killers, rest, a position conducive to alleviate the problem (for some, lying on the back with calves raised onto a chair, for others, lying on one's stomach on a pillow), alternating heat and cold.

depends on the source of pain. Stretching can help if it's related to tightness and mild muscle strain

@SW-User everyone is saying heat but be cautious in using any heat source. Don't place direct heat sources on your skin...use a towel or other barrier. Also, don't use for more than 15 mins-20 mins at a time. You'll also want to use caution with the use of heat with acute muscle strain...sometimes cold therapy works better to reduce inflammation.

Ice is generally better than heat...

@asslover699 I’ve always been told by Drs, ice for new pain and heat later 😳
asslover699 · 61-69, M
could be. I have been told both...but heat is better for muscle aches, while ice helps shrink swelling and blood circulation...
