Am confused

Am so confused right now. I don't know what to do. I started up my own modeling agency label and it was moving on well we been dping photoshoots with my models and posting them on social media and We got a deal of making an advert with some company but the deal wasn't done since my agency wasn't registered so I was told to register it first since I had no funds to register it then I told our family friend today he accepted to help me register it but he told me if he register it then I have to sign a article memorandum of association whereby he asked me that he needs 70% shares in the agency which I started with my very little savings. Is this right. Should I accept and sign the papers so that he helps me to register my agency. Is this the right thing for me to do. Should I accept before they use another agency.what does it mean for someone to having 70% in the company.

He screws you for free , take you time and find someone who understands the rules . Seems you need to educate yourself first , its easy to loose your money this way

@Khenpal1 you are right

I think you need some professional advice before signing anything. 70% share of your company for registering it doesn't sound right at all. It's your company, keep it that way.

@Roxy72 thanks dear

that means he owns 70% of the company, gets to dictate how to run it, and claims 70% of the income. IDK what the registration fee is, but this sounds like a tremendous ripoff. Can you get a bank loan to cover this, or borrow smaller amounts from several friends?

@Sarahblack May I ask how much is needed to register the company?
Sarahblack · 31-35, F
It's 600k shilling
firefall · 61-69, M
@Sarahblack ouch, that's quite a lot of money.
Don't do it if you agree to give him 70% share of the company then he becomes majority owner as he would have 70% to your 30% he would essentially be taking over your company
Sarahblack · 31-35, F
@ExperienceDLT am not gonna sign it than
@Sarahblack it may take you longer to get it up and running but just save the money and do it on your own that way once you do get started all of the profits will come to you

Thanks for this advice

Sarah, he's screwing you. Don't do it
Sarahblack · 31-35, F
@VSonMe am not going to sign. It's like he what's to take the agency away from me.he can't take the agency I have invested in money because of his 160 dollors of registration
VSonMe · 56-60, M
that's exactly what he's doing. He's not a friend.
Sarahblack · 31-35, F
@VSonMe thanks for the advice
Shayla · F
It means he would own and have control of the company.
Sarahblack · 31-35, F
@Shayla seriously when it's me who started it.
Shayla · F
@Sarahblack If you own 70% of something, it is mostly yours. You would be selling that 70% for whatever costs you are asking him to cover.
unknownpoetx · 36-40, M
how can you do that if you are ugly?
Sarahblack · 31-35, F
@unknownpoetx what do you mean
unknownpoetx · 36-40, M
@Sarahblack exactly that. you lack english skills too?
