Would you be opposed to a homeless shelter opening up in your neighborhood?

Why or Why not?

No. In fact I worked at a homeless shelter for about a year in high school. 90% of them are normal people that happened to come from shitty family backgrounds or are just down in their luck.

I wonder if it could cause harm 🤔

@Roach I see. So would that be a nay for you?

@StraCat not exactly

@Roach I see. I live in a big city so they are plentiful here. Definitely a service to the community that is much needed. Is it a need where you are?

Totally and absolutely needed. Huge problem here. Yet it can not be run or influenced by any religious organization. They just will not go. And I sort of do not blame them. There is plenty of those.
nope, would force people to face the reality of it and people would be more inclined and active in helping their fellow human beings.

Since I'm currently renting, I wouldn't really care, but I'd just move as soon as I could. I've seen enough of that side of life to know that most of the negative stereotypes associated with it carry weight, unfortunately.

(That said, I nonetheless opine that no good will ever come of getting to the point where you can't see a real-life individual experiencing homelessness as anything but those stereotypes.)

No. There already is one, but it's small.

No. It could be used around here.
Nope. We need it.
In our town, yes. Montana has a HUGE meth problem and our town is a popular highway for dealers. It will attract even more dealers. The police here already have their hands full.

I worked at a shelter for families with children one town over, and none of them were really dangerous, except to themselves.
