Hahaha. Aw, I bet that wouldn't be so bad. Hahaha From what I have read, they are very strict, and rightfully so. The fostering process was very long, so I imagine adoption to be much worse. @Thevy29

I'm in a very similar situation. I became a "foster parent," nd I know that process was really tough considering the circumstances. I also had to jump through a lot of hoops. It was worth it in the end, though. :) @PinkPowerRanger

@lauriethecolourful i was only meant to look after them for short term, maybe a year and now its 4. Their mother has basically given up her rights but their dad wants to retain joint custody but we arent a couple so thats unique for the authorities to work out.. plus their mothers family has been interfering

I respect you for what you are doing. Not just anyone would take in a child that's not their own. I really do hope that you can work through things and adopt this child. :)

@MalteseFalconPunch I was honestly expecting it to be difficult. I just hoped that I could have found someone who was either going through or had gone through the adoption process, so I could get a first hand account of how difficult it actually is. I think adopting is a beautiful thing do for a little child who needs a loving family. :)

@JarJarBoom My partner and I went through the adoption process, and usually for people our age, it would be nearly impossible for us to foster, but due to the circumstances, they let us. It was a very long process for everyone, though. The money aspect of it doesn't bother us. We know it will be worth it in the end. :)

When you mentioned adopt the first thing that came to mind was my fur babies, they are adopted.

@lauriethecolourful Dogs and cats. I work for an Anti-Animal Cruelty organization more specifically in the Adoptions Department. The procedures we follow are thorough, I am sure the adoption of kids maybe be more difficult.
