@WildHeart sorry for whatever you had to go through. 10 years is pretty long. Happy that it’s long gone and you’re happy with your kids 🤗

@SW-User Name change I see :)
Thank you for that heartfelt response.

You’re welcome. Everyone go through trauma in life. I can relate to it. Mine no way close to yours. Take care. :)

guess it helps to think of a solo-act paired with an accompanist … the 'narcy' is the solo-act … and you are the accompanist. may not seem fair … but one can sometimes exit if necessary?
AliceMortem · 31-35, F
@muffinman it is imperative to exit if you can
muffinman · 61-69, M
@AliceMortem suppose so … hope everything works out for you. :)
Ohhhhhh yes
Yeah like your hurting them or your doing things wrong and it’s their way which is the only way to do things and then they act like it’s the end of the world if it isn’t done their way and they really go to town with that emotion@AliceMortem
AliceMortem · 31-35, F
@Teggy You're exactly right! Even if you do things the way they desire, they will still pick fault with it, or completely flip it around and pretend you're doing the opposite of what they asked even though you know you aren't
@AliceMortem it’s a fast track ticket to your own personal mental issues like anxiety and depression if it’s a parent 😖

nope cant win with them its always your fault
AliceMortem · 31-35, F
@SW-User Exactly, and it doesn't matter what you do for them you're never good enough
Cant win cuz its never them
AliceMortem · 31-35, F
@Kayana They will never take responsibility for their actions
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
For some reason that made me think of NASCAR🤔

Truth
Novaturient81 · 41-45, F
@AliceMortem Exactly. ☝ OR they cry and throw tantrums. Always trying to make you feel guilty. Sucks to deal with a narcissist. The mind is not open and the heart is not kind. Twisted mind. Drives me crazy.
AliceMortem · 31-35, F
@Novaturient81 They actually remind me of toddlers. Very self centered and unable to deal with criticism/always have to have all the attention and praise. It's like their brains stopped developing as a child when it comes to emotion etc
Novaturient81 · 41-45, F
@AliceMortem Dang. They're tiring. Harder to deal with when they're family or close friends.
Columbianpoppies · 41-45, F
Over used word now
AliceMortem · 31-35, F
@Columbianpoppies it is, and often wrongly used
Mrsbetweenfatandfit · 26-30, F
Yeah exhausted me honestly
AliceMortem · 31-35, F
@Mrsbetweenfatandfit It's mentally and physically exhausting. Studies show you're more likely to get diseases dealing with narcissists long term as well
Mrsbetweenfatandfit · 26-30, F
@AliceMortem if you can avoid them all together that’s best. If not limiting your time can help
