Why not? Starts out with 2 people God created, then as time goes on, people evolve. We are still evolving and always will be

Because if you started out with only two people by your third or fourth generation everyone would be retarded.
There is just not enough genetic diversity. The smallest number of people you can start with to maintain a coherent gene pool is between 60 and 80 males and females.

The creationist argument is based upon religion and The Bible, and that states Adam, Eve, Garden of Eden etc etc, so that's where I got that from.
Personally I think it's all balls.
In my view it's evolution or nothing. I was just arguing that you can't have the Bible's account for the origin of Man AND The Theory of Evolution, they are pretty much mutually exclusive.
As for the creation of the Universe... Well, that's anyone's guess, but I very much doubt any omnipotent superbeing did it.
