Anybody need a listening ear to vent to?

Just here, looking to talk, thought a listening ear could be nice to have.

Well, my Uncle just got taken to the ER. He is bleeding inside his brain and his speech was starting to slur. His wife, my Aunt, had a gall bladder attack as soon as she got him to the hospital, and they wanted to do surgery but she refused...wants to be up and running for her husband, I guess. She always was ornery. My cousins are on the way to the hospital. I hope they can talk some sense into her.

Oh, my.... I am SO sorry...
I hope they can, too,
Wanting to be there for someone is admirable, but not worth your own life or health, in my opinion.

@FlyingScotsman4471 Well, they are old and stubborn and Helen is twice as crusty and stubborn as most stubborn and crusty women. 😢

I hear that...

but I DO hope it ends somewhat well in the end...

I'm sorry you're having to go through such a nerve-wracking ordeal.

@FlyingScotsman4471 Thanks, you're a good sort to listen. Sorry to take advantage.

You're not: I legitimately care: I don't even know them nor do I know you, but that doesn't mean I'm heartless and would say "Ah, just get over it."
I've been through enough to where I can say, those who tell me that, haven't lived through parts of your life where you don't know i you're gonna see a member of your family or a friend that next day.

@FlyingScotsman4471 A frightening thought, isn't it.

Yeah... it really is.

Nearly a year ago, my dad was in the hospital cuz he had a minor heart attack.
He was there for over a month: when he was on the operating table, he told me that, when they cut him open, he started bleeding so bad, that he LITERALLY almost died.
He told me, "I saw everything goin' dark, it was almost like I was dead for a few minutes."
Later, we found out hat he HAD died a couple times, but hey brought him back.

(Sorry to go off yammering....)

@FlyingScotsman4471 Don't worry about that. That is terrifying. I hope your Dad is all right now. Health problems...I hate them. I wish everyone could just stay healthy and happy till they were 100 years old, and then, since we all have to die, just fall asleep and not wake up.

Sorry...morbid. I have a friend who is going to the oncologist next week and it's all a bit much.

Well... I have mental problems: brain injuries... kinda embarrassing stuff... honestly.
I'm not afraid to talk about them, I just don't want to drone on and on when it's not asked for.

He's fine: still kicking.
I'm sorry you're surrounded by all this crap: it's GOTTA be hard on your social life.
