The Metoo movement started by a woman to empower lower income women to report sexual crimes that was done to them. Then when Hollywood started using it, it was a good thing because it brought awareness how corrupt Hollywood really is.But now i feel it's being used to purposely take down ppl that deserve (or don't deserve) to be taken down. Of course not saying every one of the accusers are lying but it's gotten so out of control that people are growing tired of it all. Which sucks because the REAL victims may not be taken seriously.

Should have happened years ago

My thoughts are that it’s about time women felt empowered enough to speak up about it. Also that it’s a shame how many women are having to. They’re braver than me even though #metoo.

Nothing cleans like daylight & sunshine.
It kind of scares me a bit, even though, for the most part, I find myself being very sympathetic.

We're living so much in an "us v. them" culture wars thing these days, that something like this could get really ugly.

Overall, I think its a very good thing, but people died in the Civil Rights movement, and we're still kind of paying the price for it in terms of a cultural backlash.

Great for the real victims.

idk. i’m undecided. in a way it’s hard to persecute someone for something so long ago but i don’t feel like they should get away with it either. i think it’s causing some women to over-examine their past and forcing at least some guys to defend themselves about encounters they prob and honestly don’t even remember.

@dark548 Ya i think some women need to be accountable for saying and meaning NO when they don’t want sexual interaction.

@NiftyWhite The situation can get pretty tricky as many women can feel intimidated to say no. However; I do believe there are instances where the woman simply had a bad date she regrets and decides for some reason press charges 🤔

@dark548 it’s a mess all around. you have to go investigate who did what and who’s lying and what actually happened. impossible.
When I heard it was about being sexually abused..I jumped up and said "Me Too....please?"

"Me too" is incredibly valuable for women who are sexually victimized in the workplace, where they are made to feel that if they don't play along they will lose their jobs. It has been immensely valuable in exposing workplace predators.
However, women who have been sexually abused or assaulted when out on a date need to classify themselves differently, and they either need to report a crime or shut the heck up.
