No one should have to tolerate that. Soap is cheap. She's probably not washing her clothes regularly. If she was, she wouldn't smell as bad. Your teacher needs to consider the well being of others instead of worrying about hurting the feelings of ONE person making the rest suffer.

@insidiousisblindinception If she's American that makes it even worse. I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this.

Thank you. Perhaps you'll PM me sometime. We might agree on some more things.

@insidiousisblindinception I'd be happy to...

How about offering to help her fix the problem? Maybe try talking to her privately saying that you know it can be tough to keep everything going sometimes. Would you like to stay at my place tonight? We can get showers, and wash a load of your laundry while watching a movie!

@insidiousisblindinception Perhaps you need to sit across the state and use "distance learning"... 😉😆

Gift her some purfume at some holiday?
Or, yeah. You could just tell her politely that she smells.

@Tatsumi How do you even begin to say that to someone, especially if you're not their friend or acquaintance?

@insidiousisblindinception I don't really know. But I know that you can say anything, if you say it the right way. It's all about tact and grace.
Ask if you can speak with them privately, give them a compliment first--an honest one--then prepare them that the conversation is going to be a bit uncomfortable, then tell them directly but politely, "I hope this doesn't offend you, but are you aware that you have an unpleasant smell?" Don't let them know other people think the same, to spare them embarrassment. Then you could offer potential solutions. Afterwards, thank them for telling you. Then maybe, "I just wanted to say something, because if I smelled I would hope someone would tell me."

Maybe you can tell this to her and stop being a coward in place of typing this thing for random strangers on an anonymous website
insidiousisblindinception · 26-30, F
@SW-User And then I'm a bully and a bad person because she makes me 'minimally uncomfortable'. I'm sorry, but whatever fucking country you're from, shit doesn't fly like that here in the US. This website is a venting place and I have a right to say what I need to say. It is not cowardly.

@GoldxFace I'm sure people have talked to her before. And I would feel the same way about a guy that smelled this bad.
