Confident you are smarter than those who are not and also places you in the best of human company...Mozart, Conrad, Dostoevsky, Chesterton, Dickens, Churchill, Havel, Reagan, Kipling, Conan Doyle, James, Belloc, Jerome K. Jerome, Thomas More, Hanson, Solzhenitsyn, Walensa, Socrates... yes the list is endless.
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@Graciebaby At least five of those named were practicing Catholics...cannot be that and a Freemason, dummy.
Graciebaby · F
You can Dummy.

@Abrienda No it’s not a cultural affiliation, it’s an economic philosophy, dipshit. Oh but you didn’t know that, now did you? Maybe you should attempt to learn about what you’re discussing before you say it.
Right now, it kind of feels like being part of the counter culture. Good conduct is it's own reward, though, and even when you are shouted down, knowing that you are on the right side gives you a kind of quiet confidence. The western hemisphere is moving right at a slow pace, so we draw hope in that. The insanity of the left creates it's own backlash, and that is what the western world is experiencing. The left makes more noise and throws temper tantrums and that gives an illusion of strength, but it is just an illusion.

@puck61 Temper tantrums is spot on. Look at their response to my initial post...they are so hysterical they don't understand the terminology being used (capitalism=conservatism; tell that nonsense to Pope Pius XII or Pope John Paul II ... but then lower life forms like BlueMetalCretin have never heard of them, either.
The left manifested itself a hundredfold when western society started scorning wholesome discipline. In my opinion, we are seeing the result of too many single parent homes, the absence of a moral compass, and too few spankings. Simple as that.

Being a complete selfish Tory bollocks who first up against the wall, blindfold bang n fukkin good riddance.

BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F

BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F

@BlueMetalChick That gave me a good chuckle.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@BlueMetalChick I'll bite, what's a true conservative?
royalblue1193 · 31-35, M
On witness protection

I would think it depends on which aspects of conservatism you embrace. If you're a fiscal conservative, while you may like the tax cuts, the deficit must be driving you crazy.

If you're a social conservative, I don't really know. Abortion is still legal, homosexuals can still get married, I don't really know what social conservatives are hoping for.

If you're a foreign policy conservative, you're probably losing your mind. Decades of carefully crafted economic and military strategy are threatened by nearsighted reactionism.

Truthfully, I wouldn't think it feels very good to be conservative these days.

I searched it on youtube and found a song that defines it.

Constipated I should imagine.
Having a tight arse that's full of shit. Everytime you open your mouth heaps of shit comes spewing out.

That's what it's like, a Tory told me once between the shit spewing of course.
Taking arrows in the heart.
