As you grow up, are there more or less "what if" in your life?

In my experience far less, and I also take other people's whatifs less seriously. Scenarioplanning goes out the window more and more. I just do what I do and work on the general way I do things. It matters less what lies ahead. I prepare for things by working on habits and character, and that will just have to do. It's not event-based anymore, and I'll work with whatever outcome instead instead of wanting things to be a certain way.

More then less. You eventually reach a point where some "what ifs" become unnecessary and you start scaling back on them.

@Lemonysnicket. Agree. I have less 'what if' about the past. But more having to do with the future, things I might do...
Less. You learn more with experience and time. No fairy dust what ifs anymore.

Sometimes I look at the past events in my life and there is more a sense of regret in not saying or acting the way I feel. I was passive. But it was also because I was quite easily satisfied. later on, I became quite a fighter. I did not want to be chained to what I see as intimidation and bullying. I feel I am no longer nice. I am no longer naive. I am no longer the same person.

'What if'. Some things will always be unknown to us. No matter how much of a control freak we are. And it is wise to take the day as it comes. We may look at the horizon and dream but I now think it may be foolhardy to attempt to reach it. It looks beautiful only because it is unreachable. Isn't it true?
