You can only vote on one answer.
After all the things the government has been involved with, either admitted, theorized and proven do you trust anything they say of that they indeed work for the people? It matters little as to where in the world you are.

"If you acted as your government did, you'd be in prison".

I'm part of it.
L33TH4X0R · 41-45, M
@unknownpoetx How are you part of it?
unknownpoetx · 36-40, M
@L33TH4X0R I'm in the party that is in government plus other issues I won't reveal
L33TH4X0R · 41-45, M
@unknownpoetx Do you think the government works for the people or for themselves?
unknownpoetx · 36-40, M
@L33TH4X0R the government works for the people because the people are the government. it's a democracy. people vote and choose. that's how it works.
L33TH4X0R · 41-45, M
@unknownpoetx What country are you in?
unknownpoetx · 36-40, M
@L33TH4X0R a developed and civilized one in europe
L33TH4X0R · 41-45, M
@unknownpoetx Okay, case in point. Have the people of your country been offered an in out ref for continuation in the EU? Did the people of your country agree to the extreme austerity measures in place throughout Europe? Did the people agree to the record number of immigrants their elected government just opened the door to? Were they consulted in any of the above? The mp's pay rise? Did they agree to that as public services are slashed?
unknownpoetx · 36-40, M
@L33TH4X0R yes, yes. that's false there's no record number. the number is very low. and they agreed to let a lot more in. they were consulted in every of the above. the mp's pay has lowered. public services have increased funding.
L33TH4X0R · 41-45, M
@unknownpoetx WOW can I move there? No on second thoughts you are still under the rule of not only the government but the EU which is even worse.
L33TH4X0R · 41-45, M
@unknownpoetx And as I don't know which country you are in it is impossible for me to refute you "claims" the people are happy with the situation.
unknownpoetx · 36-40, M
@L33TH4X0R yes. and no it's not worse. it's a very good thing.
and about people being happy. not everyone is happy. the majority is. the minority is respected.
are you sure you know how a democracy works?
L33TH4X0R · 41-45, M
@unknownpoetx Yes, the government says do you want choice 1. or choice 2. but both choices are created by the government and not the people. They ultimately have picked their choice and it is a false choice regardless. And the EU is the biggest waste of space in human history and it was the only sane thing the UK has ever done to kiss goodbye to that millstone. The government is nothing but a leach on society and I long for the day the people wake up to the BS. The pole here in just a fraction is over 90% have no trust in the government. The day is coming when the government will have to answer to pitchforks rather than votes.
unknownpoetx · 36-40, M
that's not democracy.
the government doesn't give choices. the government has the power to rule. power that is given by the people to some people to be their own representatives. the "government" is not someone or anything static. the government is made by common people.
the EU is the single biggest alliance in the world responsible for improving the well being of millions of people. UK is going to suffer massively after brexit. it's not an argument it's a fact.
L33TH4X0R · 41-45, M
@unknownpoetx I am sure the people of Greece agrees with the description of the EU...or the majority of the UK population who voted to get otu the first chance we got. You say about democracy and then the EU in the same sentence??? You cannot vote anyone on the ruling class of the EU in or out! How is that a democracy?
unknownpoetx · 36-40, M
@L33TH4X0R you are contradicting yourself. people of UK voted for brexit. they are getting brexit. that's democracy in EU.
L33TH4X0R · 41-45, M
@unknownpoetx And have you listened to the EU rulers? Being complete arses. And have you heard the politicians in UK government, threatening to veto the vote, to reverse to decision? How is that democracy? Junker saying we must pay "x" amount, blah blah blah, we must have open borders, we must remain in the single market...how is that in any way a democracy? How is forcing a country to have a single market a democracy?
unknownpoetx · 36-40, M
@L33TH4X0R so let me get this straight. you complain that people don't choose yet complain that people choose. lol. what a joke.
you don't want democracy. you want what you think it's the best for you. just that.
bad news for you. democracy it's here to stay. it's not up for you to decide for others. everyone votes. that's how it works. and people voted against your own opinion. deal with it or move to north korea or something.
L33TH4X0R · 41-45, M
@unknownpoetx No I am happy with people choosing as that is what a democracy is. But what I object to is being asked and deciding and then the government working for the people saying "pick again we didnt like that answer", that is not a democracy. As you are so clued up on this stuff, when was the UK people asked if we wanted to join the EU? Answer, we didnt! The government decided to do that and the EU states we are part of the block and now low and behold we need to pay to leave...this is something normal people call extortion. The EU states there is no leaving the block...this is a dictatorship.
SW-User
@L33TH4X0R In a parliamentary democracy you vote for the government to make decisions.
unknownpoetx · 36-40, M
@L33TH4X0R didn't know there would be another referendum. oh wait..... it won't happen. brexit is already on the way.
fucking logic. stop contradicting.
and yes you were asked to join. people voted in a party and program that included joining EU. the party won. uk entered eu. that's how it works. you seriously should read a book about democracy.
just because you don't like it it doesn't mean it's not democracy.
L33TH4X0R · 41-45, M
@SW-User Yes, but they dont listen to the people. We voted for brexit and the government is doing all it can to reverse it. How is this a democracy?
L33TH4X0R · 41-45, M
@unknownpoetx Ern Nope...the UK people were never asked if they wanted to join the EU. CITATION NEEDED! It started with a free trade agreement and then the EU took more and more power. Like how the EU imposed 15% VAT on everything as mandatory or the fact that the EU courts have jurisdiction and can reverse UK courts decision and has done on many things.
unknownpoetx · 36-40, M
@L33TH4X0R they listen to the people. the people voted. and referendums are actually very stupid. if people could vote for everything then there would be no taxes no penalties for crimes etc. actually referendums are not part of a democracy and in some countries are forbidden.
and last time I checked no one was trying to reverse brexit. in fact EU even said it wanted to do it fast. faster than uk wanted.
unknownpoetx · 36-40, M
@L33TH4X0R like it was said several times and that you didn't understood. people vote for governments. the governments get to rule. that's democracy. just because you don't like a government decision it doesn't mean it's not democracy.
but guess what, you can vote for another party. in fact, everyone can. majority wins. deal with it.
L33TH4X0R · 41-45, M
@unknownpoetx So the governments decide on what the people they work for are allowed to vote on...hmm sounds suspiciously like a dictatorship. "Nobody is trying to revesre brexit"??? have you listened to the news? A paper perhaps? The Labor party has been trying to do it from day 1. The conservative group too, there has been legal petitions put forward to halt and stop brexit. And you say "Nobody is trying to stop brexit"???
