I actually do not like the idea of terraforming -- making the planet inhabitable by planting vegetation which will give rise to an oxygen atmosphere, etc. If we did all that, we would have killed Mars. It would not be Mars anymore. It would be another example of how our species feels a need to dominate whatever it sees.

Internet- in that case, no! Our disease (humanity) should not be allowed to spread. We can't get along with each other on this planet, never mind having two! Its just another reason to say we are doing something worthwhile. If we had taken better care of the resources and not over populated, we would have no desire to go to Mars. The sooner all the fodder leaves this planet, the sooner it can recover.

I am an astronomy buff and I am fascinated by Mars. But the realities of what such a trip entails are just too harsh. I would not go, and I would remain content with looking at photos.
