I have not forgotten those days but they have become a distant memory
The days when a text from you was my absolute priority. When I would leave everything undone when I heard the phone Buzz. When I came rushing to my room for some quite me-time. Ummm... maybe I should call it you-time.
And now my phone does not Buzz like it used to.
Even the sadness at your absence which once tore my heart, I can barely recall.
Every now and then I laugh at how my phone is more like a corpse these days.
I laugh and I think of you and how you possessed me.
And I move on with my day.
I don't have the attention I once had, but guess what, I just dodged a bullet.
