@SW-User alright another Toronto ...looks like it really is the place to go

@Dan193 👍
@Dan193 Toronto is very expensive. It is teeming with pollution and hordes of people from everywhere. Whites are in a minority. And there is lots of fighting and crime. Always something to do. I would never live there again.
SW-User
@PoetryNEmotion you'll find crime everywhere... depends where you live...
@SW-User Bigger cities draw all kinds. Unless you can afford the really nice parts of Toronto, you will be unsafe.
SW-User
@PoetryNEmotion that's everywhere... it all depends where you live no matter which city you live in..

@PoetryNEmotion which are the good parts of toronto?
@SW-User I would never live there again. It has only become worse. I remember talking with someone who used to live in the old neighbourhoods. They spoke of how nice it used to be. I lived in Toronto in my 20's. I didn't like it then. I do visit there on occasion. It is unpleasant. You may like it. I do not. All the rushing people. No smiles. Dirty air. People cannot live with one another. No one cooperates. They prefer to fight.

@PoetryNEmotion sorry for your negative experience....

@PoetryNEmotion where would you recommend to move if you were looking for a nice job, easy to find housing and little to none syrians. Also english would be used predominantly.
@SW-User I lived there for 7 years. Two different neigbourhoods. It was bustling then. I received my career training there. Had my son. I come from a small town. Toronto is too large. Where I live now is too small. There must be some happy medium. I do like nature. Perhaps you live in a nice neighbourhood. I don't know.
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@PoetryNEmotion What about Montreal? They do speak english in there right? even though it's in quebec
@Dan193 I don't know why you keep mentioning Syrians. I don't even know any. Housing is very expensive in Toronto. Rentals are sky-high. You have to work hard just to pay the rent. Depends upon your education and your abilities. High Park was a nice area. Mississauga used to be nice. It is outside of Toronto. Northern Toronto-Etobicoke used to be nice. You need a car unless you like buses or streetcars or subways. Unsure on that now. You could live downtown depending on what you need. Ask someone who lives there now. Sunnydays might. Like I said, lots to do in a big city.

@PoetryNEmotion Alright, I'll look more into that
@Dan193 The French people only like their own language. Unless you grew up there, they will laugh at your French. It is pretty there. I suggest you examine on-line about opportunities. When I wanted to move to Texas, decades ago, I got newspapers (major ones). I inquired if anyone knew anyone in major cities. I had a distant relative who knew someone there. I set up interviews. Drove down. It is easier to research on-line now. And networking is easier too. I also contacted Chamber of Commerces to obtain info. My computer skills are not as wonderful as others. I wish you good luck. I never regretted living in the United States.

@PoetryNEmotion Thanks, it will be tough.

@PoetryNEmotion Wait Toronto is expensive? Which would you say is more expensive, Toronto or Vancouver ?

Where would you suggest living then, since you don't seem to like Toronto?
@BittersweetPotato Big cities are expensive because everyone goes there to start. Vancouver is so much more expensive. There are parts of the cities that are less expensive. Outside of them is better, but then you have to commute. Hope you have a car then. It depends on what you want to do and what you like. Younger people your age tend to like cities even more so if you come from larger ones. I gotta go. I hope this helps. So many things to think of when moving. Research. Network. Talk to people. When you get somewhere, you can always move. Note that larger cities like Toronto have fewer rental places too.
