When Republicans talk about “freedom”, what they mean is the freedom from social responsibility; the freedom to not give a shit about your neighbors.

@JP1119 Was not aware all republicans set you to speak for there policy's
AMEN 😇

@Firespirit It’s an observation. Do you deny it? What other kind of freedom are you talking about?
Firespirit · 26-30, M
@JP1119 I don't deny or agree as you have not stated any specific policy you take issue with

@Firespirit The weapons in your illustration above, labeled “IRS”, “property tax”, “licensing”, etc. are portrayed as limiting “freedom”. The only freedom they take away from you is freedom from social responsibility a.k.a. the “freedom” to not give back to your community a.k.a. the “freedom” to not give a shit about your neighbors.
Give back.. ? Tired of taxpayers funding ppls life style of doing nothing with their hands out..

@JP1119 That is not freedom that is restriction. If a community makes you give it by force is it a good community? plus we are forced to pay for all those programs that keep lazy people drugged up
JP1119 · 36-40, M
@Firespirit That’s like saying that you’re not free when you buy a shirt at the mall. Is it a bad store if it makes you pay for the shirt? Same deal. The community, through education, infrastructure, economy, etc. created the system whereby you could earn money in the first place, therefore you owe the community some money back.
Firespirit · 26-30, M
@JP1119 But my money does not go into my community it goes to support everyone collective and what little Gets to my community is fractions of a penny
JP1119 · 36-40, M
@Firespirit I don’t mean just your local community, the USA is a large sort of community too.
Firespirit · 26-30, M
@JP1119 I know that. So they force you to pay for service you may never use
JP1119 · 36-40, M
@Firespirit That’s where social responsibility comes in. The community helped you earn your money, so then you owe money back to your community, even if it gets spent on goods and services that you don’t directly use. The freedom your illustration is promoting is the freedom to not do your part, to not pay your fair share, to not give a shit about others in your community. You can have the last word, I’m going to bed now.
