Has anyone heard about any cases of people asking you for money on here? I mean like scammers, not people you know. Is that a thing?

Because there's this guy that randomly messaged me a couple of days ago asking me how am I, etc, what do I do for work, then he was asking me whether I still live with my parents(I suppose he wanted to know if I'm self-sufficient). I kept pulling away from these questions and steering the convo in a different direction. But then he began asking me about cars and I stopped the convo suspecting that a "do u have a car" question was coming.
Now, today he messaged me again asking whether I had a busy day at work.

Am I overthinking this and the guy is just looking to chat? or is he really interested in my financial status and whether I could "lend" him money?

Not yet but hey if that happens just block and report. Above all never give important information out that could be used against you as rule of thumb

@iQuit Yeah gotcha, but at the same time I wouldn't want to just block a guy that had no bad intentions, that's mainly why I asked the question. Thanks,

@Dan193 but here's the thing you don't know what their motives are.They could be building on to his true intentions. I wouldn't want to think that, but people are capable of alot of things. At the end of the day, best of luck. I hope nothing bad come of you interacting with them.
