@TheProphet Everyone around me back in Yemen was armed too, and they all got shot full of holes. Your gun will do you no good. You can't shoot after you're already dead. Body armor would keep you safer because then you have time to react.

@BlueMetalChick So far the score is me 2, the armed robbers who shot me 0. 1 dead one crippled. I'll always take the chance. Unlike them I know how to shoot.

@TheProphet Oh really now. You sound like Chris Kyle when he made up stories about shooting armed carjackers in Texas. If the robbers wanted to shoot you, they'd have shot you. Unless they were just total incompetents and had no idea how to operate a firearm.

@Spoiledbrat They did shoot me twice, but I lived. One of them didn't and the other is a quadropalegic.

@TheProphet If you're not lying (and that's not very likely) then they were obviously complete idiots because if they managed to shoot you multiple times and not incapacitate you to the point where you weren't able to shoot back at them, then they clearly had no idea how to use a gun. Probably learned off of Call of Duty or something. To anyone with even basic experience, you should only need one or two shots for your target to be deader than fuck.

@BlueMetalChick I didn't miss. One head shot one spine shot. I took one to the chest one to the stomach.

@TheProphet I've been shot too but it was by accident, with a .22 Ruger handgun. It was unintentional. The revolver fired when it hit the ground after someone dropped it.

@TheProphet It was a small caliber, and it went through my wallet before it hit my body, meaning it was slow enough that it stopped in the muscle and never hit bone. But it did ruin my wallet which sucks. I had no money in it, but I did have a whole ton of Dave & Busters cards and a photograph of Mao Zedong.
