How can u raise your child to be confident?

Any advice, things that work?

praise them and give them positive reinforcement when they succeed. when they fail, give them encouragement to strive to do better the next time.

@YourMomsSecretCrush What about secrets? My parents always used to tell me to not have secrets from them and always tell them everything. And whenever I wouldnt want to share something with them, they'd try to pull it out of me. Though my sister would always tell them everything.
So I don't know, what's better: letting them have their secrets or trying to work towards absolute openness?
