Will human nature most likely be different as we colonize other planets?

As the probability of space travel becomes more and more likely, what is the probability that human nature will change as we become an interplanetary species? Or, will we simply take our hard-coded ways with us?

But, shackles suggest we are not much more than slaves and within our slavery we can seek to find some dusty bits of salvation. Aren't we entitled to more than that?
