Are you a horrible cook?

This was supposed to be vanilla cake but I messed it up bad. Everything I make looks gross like that.

Too much liquid. If the batter looks too thin (runny) while mixing, add a tablespoon (or so) of flour until you have a smooth consistency. If batter is too thick, add a teaspoon (or so) of milk.
