I have many good friends here that are evacuating Florida.

My thoughts and prayers are with them.

Many of us in Texas are praying hard for the Florida folks. We evacuated for Hurricane Rita...18 hours to go 50 miles, no gas, people stranded by the highway, pets dying from dehydration and stress, and the unknown of what the hurricane would bring. Those people are suffering before the storm hits.

@exexec I do remember Rita as well. My son was there with the Navy doing water rescues. And for Katrina. None of us can comprehend the difficulties until we have lived through a nightmare like this. I continue to pray for those in Texas. These storms will affects us for many years to come.

@exexec We have def had the bad luck with the Hurricane's this season....This, is when we donate,volunteer, and just do what we can to help one another. It is going to require massive amounts of money and workers, to try and restore infrastructure....for quite some time.
