what happens if you leave a hospital without being discharged?
i remember my mom saying they banned you from coming back but is that true ?

I believe that a hospital has to treat you, so leaving without being discharged shouldn't affect that. It is probably all legal things that the hospital thinks of... you would have to sign a form or they would mark it such that they did not discharge, so if things got worse, or didn't get better like they should, they are not liable.
