Ahhh, it's just got that other thing you have to mash to the floor before you slam on the breaks. And oh ya, wiggle that "stick of power" just like the highjacked pizza delivery truck in Toy Story.

Yes, but soon, it will be the thing of the past.
@jjoe01 you would love some of the places I go all the time😅 that's why we get the car equipped with an "oh shit" bar😂
@Mondayschild You know it, it will be fun to go to those places. 😂

Fungirlmmm · 51-55, F
Yes. I grew up on a farm driving the farm trucks and tractors. I didn't know they made anything but manual transmissions until I moved to the city.
gmatthewb · 51-55, M
Yes, I prefer stick shift. But I'm a truck driver, so I can drive standard even when I have 15 gears to go through.
Carver · 31-35, F
Nope. My mom tried teaching me once and it didn't end well. 😅 That and she tried making me an early bloomer with learning to drive. 🙄
electropura · 36-40, M
I don't even know how to drive. I've failed my test three times. 😂
sogdianrock · 61-69, M
hi electropura ·
Keep going! It is inevitable you will pass so why not next time.
Best wishes
:)
electropura · 36-40, M
@sogdianrock I've given up, haha. I don't have the patience or even the desire now.
AllAboutTheFacts · 31-35, M
yes. The country I live in. It is rare for a car not to have a manual transmission.
SW-User
I know the theory. it's been a while, so the implementation might be a little lacking.
SW-User
Yes. It's just like automatic except you're allowed to use your other foot.
Pfuzylogic · M
I learned 10 years ago when I bought one just to change it up.
tallpowerhouseblonde · 36-40, F
Yes.Most cars here in the UK are stick shifts. We just call them manual.
sogdianrock · 61-69, M

Someone tried teaching me for 3 seconds but apparently I am really bad at it.
Yeah. I'd rather not though.

No, because I haven't started learning to drive yet. It's not a priority right now, I live in a city with arguably too much public transport. Also, my girlfriend drives. She can drive a stick shift (Or manual, as we call it) car, as can every other driver I know.
Yes and double clutch too
goodguy007 · 41-45, M
yes, learnt to drive on that!

No. No interest.
tzzzzr · 61-69, M
Yes, I learned on a stick and have had one for my daily driver for most of the forty years I've driven.

Over the last twenty I've had four different manual shift vehicles.
