What's there to understand? The moon temporarily blocks our view of the sun and it's light to us.. That's all.. It happens every once in awhile at various degrees like 70 something years or so.. So only like once or twice during a person's lifetime. That's all.. It's not very complicated really.. It's a moon block of sunlight.. Sigh
