Why do many people like to talk about death and dying?

An antidote sort of to "fun", fun is like tearing wallpaper off a wall, talking about death and dying is painting on the wall, which would be fun, but its not since this illustration is mine and will be copyrighted in Fall of 2018.

Because it's the unknown. No one knows what it's like to die because when it happens you're not alive to tell the tale of what happens.

People think it's unknowable. From what I've learned it isn't at all.

Because nobody has any idea of what happens after death, and it's such an absolute end to yourself that I guess it's a big topic. Like Armageddon, kinda.

Curiosity of unknown

It's a good topic. It only sucks when healthy young people want to whine and take their own lives.
