A psychopath sadist will get great pleasure from hiding the truth...

will enjoy slowly torturing you while they feel they have power and control...that they are super slick. It makes them feel like they are important. It's really the only way they can feel good it seems.

Isn't one or the other enough? I mean a person who was a sadist would get pleasure from tormenting a victim.Equally a psychopath would presumably do so in some way but both seems overkill.

Social scientists still use the scientific method to undertake research. But let's face it, even "hard" sciences like physics is full of disention, disagrerment. However, what you say as part of your question seems 100% accurate to me
