Does being polite get in the way of authenticity?
I feel I can never really know really polite people.

You can still be polite while being able to express your adverse opinions.
And polite people still experience a range of emotions and lose their ''cool'' at times.

@caccoon I lived in a culture where politeness was the norm...it was really hard to get to know people.
