Newport, RI - It's a fairly scenic oceanside resort town. The beaches are ok, not at all amazing. The shopping and dining options are excellent. The mansions of Bellevue Avenue are world renowned. They lead you out to Ocean Drive. There you've got breathtaking views of the Atlantic meeting the shore, more secluded homes and a large park where you can pull over and just stare at the magnificence, have a picnic, throw a frisbee or actually fly a kite. Because there's always an ocean breeze, don't be surprised if you see some "professionals" there doing just that.

I'm in Virginia, right on the coast. People come for the beach and the boardwalk.

Gerritsen Beach, off the Hudson Bay inlet and the Atlantic Ocean, in Brooklyn. It was a nice little town. Neighbors knew each other, we had great block parties
