Why French kissing is called French kissing when it's not originally from France?

Even French people they don't call it so!!!?

Its original name was "Florentine Kiss", and yes it did originate from the soldiers British and Americans returning from World war I. They observed in Europe and in this case more in France that when men met their wives or girlfriends the men kissed their women with such passion and lust and this was observed by the soldiers as " Sexually Adventurous " in which they wanted to copy. the rest is history!!😛
