Why French kissing is called French kissing when it's not originally from France?

I think it was called that because you know American and other soldiers were over there in France during WWII....chocolate candy was traded for favors with French girls.

Its original name was "Florentine Kiss", and yes it did originate from the soldiers British and Americans returning from World war I. They observed in Europe and in this case more in France that when men met their wives or girlfriends the men kissed their women with such passion and lust and this was observed by the soldiers as " Sexually Adventurous " in which they wanted to copy. the rest is history!!😛

must be an anglo saxon thing. Not sure at all. Heck the stereotype for British is that they are all secret gays.

The French are known to be some of the great lovers so people probably made that connection
