My sister has extreme eczema, the kind where she can't have public jobs because her face looks like a burn victim and her arms and legs like alligator skin. She cannot do things like wash dishes or use soap.

Anyway, she went to the Caribbean last year to a resort that had a fresh saltwater pool (i.e., a pool that had just basically filtered seawater).

She was terrified of going into the pool because she can't swim in any pool (or even take a bath) without her condition going super-painfully-severe immediately.

But she finally did, and was SO GLAD.

It worked wonders for her.

So you do not have to go to Jordan; just go to the Caribbean, and choose a hotel that has one of those pools.

@JustAcanuck WOW! I SEE HOPE NOW!! Omg...My condition isn't that severe, yet I have them elsewhere on my body... May I know how is your sister now? Has the eczema ever relapsed since then?? And is her skin back to normal now??

I must admit it was no permanent miracle cure! Her problem can't be cured by a week in such water, but she felt relief from her (admittedly extreme variety) problem, which lasted through the night/mornings between soaks, and she felt (and we saw) some visible improvement for a few weeks after.

But people she's talked to with milder forms have said there was more long-lasting effects for them :).

Are they ever? Have you tried oats?
SteelHands · 61-69, M
@Madelenie Yups. Avenalin. Not found in any other grain + Oats soak up a lot of water when they cook. Amost slipped my old mind. Emanate feelings of gratitude and love for the water you make the oats in and don't boil it too excessively. The oats will turn out perfect and my buddys Gamma also said that a glass of instant Tang goes well with the oatmeal, too, twenty one.

A kay? L8trz :)

@Madelenie We have hope though, his cousins had it from babies but grew out of it as they got older, I am hoping this is the case for him. He got it when he was around 1. He's really allergic to all suncreams.. to all bath lotions and shampoos. Last year I had his skin completely clear and we were away on hols and I couldn't get the only bath lotion he's not allergic too which I also use as shampoo for him.. and I got what I thought was next best thing, within a hour he was red and sore again..

Sure you want the natural remedy to work. If it does not ? Lidocaine Cream may work.
