@SteelHands Oats???? Like eating it or rubbing it on skin?

@Madelenie Back when I was in High School my best friend had such terrible eczema that he would scratch himself until he was bleeding. Mostly his lower legs. He had all sorts of pills and creme from his doctor. When we were about twenty, as he was never itching his leg anymore I asked him if he found a better medicine.

He said no. He showed me his calfs. (that used to be beet red and full of scabs) Said his grandpa told him to eat oatmeal for that when he was a kid. His parents said that was an old wives tale, just ignore the dumb old guy. My friend said he hated oatmeal. Then out of desperation to try anything when he was about 19 he did. And it worked after about a year of eating it off and on.

That guys calfs looked like a couple of ripe rhubarbs before he got better. He showed me them once when we were both drunk and he was goin nuts from the itching. I was super grossed out. He always was kinda hard to figure out between his ouija boards and witchcraft black candle meditation pyramid superstitions I just figured he was a little fkcd in the head and doing it to himself.

Still reading? lol Anyway..

He moved away across the continent a little while after that, (and another that's a whole other story, the lousy bastard (jk not really) and I hadn't spoken with him in 20 years. When I asked him about the oats he denied he said oats cured it. In fact he denied he ever even had such severe eczema. Weird. I don't know why he would lie about that. And I know I didn't just imagine it. The goof ball was always toying with me by saying shit. Maybe it's all just a bunch of BS I don't know it from 1st hand so whatev. Aaaand, maybe it cleared up just because he reached a certain age. Who knows for sure but I did see that guy make oatmeal after a night of getting pretty shitfaced.

I think it's true. But why would he deny it later? You think he's afraid that it will come back if he admits it? Such a weird guy.

Upps. Shitfaced is American slang for getting drunk on yer ass. Pervs just back the fk off. lol

@SteelHands lollll sir your story are always so long but nice to read! Yeah that's a such weird guy... still can't scientifically prove that oatmeal helps though. Perhaps it can help building up s stronger immune system I'd say.🤔

@Madelenie Yups. Avenalin. Not found in any other grain + Oats soak up a lot of water when they cook. Amost slipped my old mind. Emanate feelings of gratitude and love for the water you make the oats in and don't boil it too excessively. The oats will turn out perfect and my buddys Gamma also said that a glass of instant Tang goes well with the oatmeal, too, twenty one.

A kay? L8trz :)
