When sending gifts here (if you do) do you send them openly, or privately?

Why would anyone send gifts privately? Curious :)

When you look at your gifts received page it says on the top:

Gifts
Only you can see Private Gifts sent to you.

However I do not believe that means all of the gifts - if any - have in fact been sent privately. It is just a general statement of information I guess.

Personally I am an open person and so I always send all gifts publicly and would not do otherwise.

My suspicion is that either your received gifts have not been sent privately and you have been misled by the above statement or their is a glitch in the system. The former seems more likely to me.
