@JimboSaturn 'axe' for ask' seems is a Caribbean dialect usage.

@FreddieUK I know, I could get some heat for looking down on non-anglo saxon dialects.

@FreddieUK And a scene in Futurama in which Leela says something like "It's so sweet how you say ask instead of axe." to Fry.

@ninalanyon Love that series. Unfortunately it disappeared from 'free to air' TV in the UK.
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@FreddieUK I'm sure it's available on most free streaming sites.
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@ninalanyon I was able to watch the latest series because I subscribe to ITVX and they have recently signed a limited deal with Disney to show some of their content. I'm not sure how long that will last. There wasn't much else of interest to me.
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@FreddieUK Ah, the free streaming sites I had in mind were not the kind that would sign any agreements with Disney, or sign agreements with anyone else for that matter!
@FreddieUK

ITV and X, to boot! Watching the Snooker British Open?
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@rinkydinkydoink Not my interest - nor any other sport for that matter. Early trauma to blame. No need for details now,
@FreddieUK
