Have you ever thought about your conversation style and your intent?

When engaged in conversation with someone, do you really listen to what is being said to understand the other person, or do you listen with the intent of having a quick answer or just to tell your own story? There is such a difference in someone who is genuine and someone who simply wants to hear themselves talk.

Like how you need two hands to clap, it takes two listeners to converse. The irony is this trait being followed in online conversations too as what you say happens more in verbal conversation where one is louder and abusive over the other.

But the problem these days is people are advocating and blaming others, how to converse than conversing itself.

More critical to rules than content.

@in10RjFox It can happen in the online conversation as well. It is not limited to in-person.

@LadyBronte if it happens online it means that one of them does not just like reading and just gets picky on few words to come to a conclusion and just replies to drive their point. For instance I have taken hours to reply and may read your response much later, unlike verbal or phone or texting, where both need to be online.
