Move Post to Group ๐ New Edit options ๐๏ธโ๏ธ
๐๐ช Hi Similar Worlds ๐ฒ๐
Following the recent updates, and as we continue to consolidate the groups, we've made a few improvements. ๐
Improved Edit Post options ๐
We used to have separate "Edit" buttons - one for changing the Title of the Post, and another to edit the Body of the Post. And if you wanted to edit the Type/Mood of the post, you had to first press to "Edit" the Body, and only then you could see the "Edit Post Type" button, almost hidden.
To simplify that, now there is only one Edit button, which is located at the top-right corner of the post:
Which opens the following 3 options:
- Edit Post Edit the title, the body and the rating level of the post. - Edit Post Type Change the post type/mood of the post. - Move to Group Move this post to another Group or Category.
Move Post to Group ๐ธ
To help you with fixing mistakes and to better categorize your posts, we are now allowing users to move Posts to other Groups/Categories.
If you press Edit located on the top-right corner of the Post, you can select the option "Move to Group", which will present you with the following screen:
Please note that it's possible to edit the Post Type and Group/Category only once per post.
Moving a post to another Group/Category does NOT bring the post to the top of the Feed.

Thank you for your support and we hope you continue to stay with us.
We are constantly listening to your suggestions, so please keep giving them to us, as they are very important to the future of Similar Worlds.
Very kind regards, ๐งก - The SW Team

Question: Why can't a group be under multiple different categories at the same time? ๐ค
@SW-User Groups and Categories are implemented in a way that there can only be one direct parent. There may be categories/groups with similar names, but with a distinct meaning - for example the inspirational Quotes (under Career/Business) and literary Quotes (under Art/Books).
One reason we don't plan to link groups to multiple parents is to avoid some posts getting more exposure than others, just because it was posted on a group that is linked to multiple parents, and therefore appearing in more Feeds than other posts appear.
