When you press any of the "Buy VIP" buttons, you will see two options -- one to pay via a PayPal account, and the other to pay via your Debit/Credit card:
We do not charge you automatically to renew your VIP membership. You would need to manually purchase additional VIP time to extend this service.
We NEVER get access to your card details, as PayPal does not send those details to us.
In the same VIP page, you can look at the list of all the Benefits that VIP gives you:
@Bushmanoz Yes - this is a great idea! Many members try to Gift VIP to other members, but the VIP ends up on their own profile (which we can easily fix/transfer if they contact us), because they forget to type the friend name. So, your suggestion should definitely help preventing these scenarios. Thanks!
@Nuno it has happened to me a few times over the years. which is why I asked, and for any member worried about it, the support staff fix the mistake (which is usually user error) in minutes
