Starting today, you can now Report groups for inappropriate content. 🛡️ 🚩
On mobiles, you can find this button in the bottom of the Group page.
On bigger screens, you can find this on the right sidebar.
Please note that this button is for reporting problems with the Group, not the Posts in the groups. If there is a problem with a post, please use the Report Abuse button in the post itself.
it would be nice if we posted something on a group that only that group can see. that way there won't be any rude comments by people who don't like that certain group
@texasborn89 That would make sense as would being able to only see the groups you follow so you're less likely to see stuff you may feel is inappropriate from your standpoint to another maybe is AND only see what interests you. Like if you come here for posts about nature and the countryside should have wade through political discourse or or rubber fetish posts to find what you want?
I submitted 7 reports this morning and without fail all the replies have so far fallen far short of being helpful, since they give no indication of whether the report was considered valid or not, whether any action will be taken, or whether more people reporting the same group would be necessary.

All the groups concerned ARE still there as I type this but I'm not too disheartened by this at this point. While the replies might less that helpful the report-group feature does appear to work as expected and there's a reasonable chance that the site mods/admin might be attempting to evaluate it's value as a tool (false reports Vs valid reports etc) before they decide on what to do with the reported groups and what (if any) usable feedback they intend to give the reporter in future.
Given that the reply mentions a "user" and it's a group I'm reporting I'm perfectly willing to concede that it's more than likely still being developed and tested but if that were the case it would be nice to know for sure.
Perhaps @Andrew or Nuno are able to comment on why it so far at least appears to be a pointless exercise?
I like the idea but was poorly initiated. This causes so many discrimination amongst many people here. The purpose of "Similar" World is I assume for people to meet other people with "similar" world.
People have been easily offended by things they don't understand because social media made them dumb.
It's kind of like the ROMEO and JULIET law in Texas. It allows you to marry someone underage which of course you need to be with in 3 years I think?
but everyone else in the world are spouting, eww God what a pedophile.
This website should not silence a specific group of people. If you hate it, hide it. No one has a gun to your head forcing you to read content/group you dislike.
There so much injustice happening everywhere SW should not be part of that system.
