I have a pretty solid belief in them, but no real expectations. What I mean is that I believe on aggregate, they are bright individuals with a lot of potential. But I don't expect anything specific out of them. Largely because I think such expectations are self-absorbed and toxic. Why should I define how they wish to build their lives? I do have concerns that they are growing into a tougher environment that will lead to more challenges, but I see that as our failing and not theirs.

I have no expectations on anyone.

No, not at all. How can you have high expectations of someone who is socially inept and doesn't actually know how to do anything with their hands nor demonstrate creativity with their minds without the aid of a cellphone in their hand?
