How do I join conversations in a group chat with many people?

I feel pretty comfortable talking one-on-one or in small groups of 4-5 people. The fewer people I talk to, the more I feel like I can control the situation. But when the group gets bigger, I struggle to find a way to jump into the conversation and usually end up just listening. How can I get better at speaking in group chats?

1st off I'm no socialite but getting the thought of control out of your mind would be a good start.

@Gibbon How about the feeling of wanting to join in the fun and actively participate?

@icedeathshogun That's on you to decide not a question for others. If you feel it do it.

Stay calm, and be relaxed. However, enjoy your life without stress...!!
Relax your posture, don't overthink and don't be afraid to occasionally interject.

@SomeMichGuy Actually, I'm comfortable being quiet, but sometimes people's perception of me as a quiet person bothers me (?) because actually I can talk a lot, it's just that my social skills aren't at the level where I can actively participate in group chats.

@SomeMichGuy Maybe I haven't found the formula to be active in new group chats? Because I feel confident enough to initiate a one-on-one conversation with a stranger
