Have you checked your savings? Someone from the bank just called, said they needed my account number and PIN. I asked what for?

It turns out that they need the PIN because the money had been in there so long they needed to clean it to stop it from deteriorating. I managed to get my PIN over to them just in the nick of time, they will be putting the money back in tomorrow. Phew! That was a close one, all my cash could have rotted away. I am glad my bank have people like the nice young Nigerian Prince that called to help me.

Obviously you are not using a full service bank. Mine called recently advising of the same issue. However, for a small fee of 25% paid up front, they will apply to my savings a lasting preservative and reapply annually for the life of the account. It is a small price to pay to get a lifetime of peace of mind. Thank goodness there are people like that who tell us about the lesser known bank features. 😌😌
