It’s been so long, I can’t even remember when it first happened, but I wasn’t that old. And it didn’t stop older people from calling me, "kid" (although that’s been awhile, now, too😄).

@bijouxbroussard It seems to be the thing around here for older men to address each other as "young man." I am not sure what the age cut-off is for that, but I apparently have become a member of that group!

@DrWatson I rented the top half of an awesome Victorian house from an 80 year old woman many years ago. I was about 30, Pop was about 59, and I had to tease him when the lady referred to him as "young man" ! 😄

@bijouxbroussard Be sure to remind him of that at the upcoming birthday celebration!

@DrWatson Indeed. I mentioned it recently, because I’m still friends with the woman’s daughter. Pop said, "I thought I was ancien ! I had no clue !"
"Well, I thought you were, too !" I told him.
"Hah !" He laughed. "And you are even older than I was, then ?" I snarled at him, and we both laughed. ☺️

@bijouxbroussard Could it be the lady was hitting on dad? 👀
bijouxbroussard · F
@SW-User I don’t think so. She was very maternal towards both of us. 😊

@bijouxbroussard It's nice though how the little things make the nicest memories. Glad you and dad have this sort of relationship.
